Kangana Ranaut demands action against Vir Das, calls his 'Two Indias' monologue ‘soft terrorism’

Actor Kangana Ranaut is the latest celebrity to slam comedian Vir Das for his recently uploaded video on YouTube, titled ‘I come from two Indias’ that was a part of his recent performance at the John F Kennedy Center in Washington.

In the six-minute-long video that Vir uploaded on his YouTube channel on Monday, he could be heard contrasting the dark sides of India by taking a dig at issues like- its battle against COVID-19, gang rapes, farmers’ protest and more. Several social media users including politicians have mocked Vir for insulting his motherland in a foreign country.

Vidhi Acharya is an Indian producer who works in the Hindi film business and is the wife of choreographer Ganesh Acharya. She directed and produced the comedy film, Hey Bro (2015), starring Ganesh Acharya and Prem Chopra. As a first-time producer, she had a number of obstacles, but she gradually learned how to work with crew members, and her husband Ganesh Acharya even supported her on set.

Rohit Shetty on criticism of Muslim representation in Sooryavanshi: 'Hindu villains did not create an issue earlier'

Filmmaker Rohit Shetty has responded to the criticism of Muslim villains in Sooryavanshi and asked why his Hindu villains did not create an issue earlier. In a new interview, Rohit said that while making the film, there was no specific thought behind making villains out of a certain caste or religion. Starring Akshay Kumar in the titular role, Sooryavanshi also featured Ranveer Singh and Ajay Devgn in guest appearances.

In an interview with media, Rohit Shetty was asked about “bad Muslim-good Muslim” narrative in Sooryavanshi. The director responded with, “If I ask you one question - Jaykant Shikre (the antagonist in Singham, essayed by Prakash Raj) was a Hindu, then came in this universe (Rohit Shetty’s cop universe which includes Singham, Singham Returns, and Simmba), a Hindu Godman  who was the villain. In Simmba, Durva Yashwant Ranade (played by Sonu Sood) was a Maharashtrian. In these three films, negative forces were Hindu. Why wasn’t that a problem?”

Jr NTR, Ram Charan starrer RRR makers clarify on reports of moving to High Court against AP govt

SS Rajamouli's RRR, one of the much-awaited big-budget films starring Jr NTR and Ram Charan is expected to be a visual spectacle. The promos and posters of the film have already managed to create much-needed buzz among the moviegoers. Meanwhile, reports are doing rounds that makers are planning to hike ticket prices for big-budget drama RRR. 

This led to speculations that producers have planned on heading to court to seek permission to release the film with higher ticket prices. Now, RRR makers have clarified that they have no intention of moving on to the court but approach the AP CM directly. "It is true that the slashing of ticket prices will affect our film immensely. But we at #RRRMovie have no intention of going to court. We are trying to approach the honourable Andhra Pradesh CM garu and explain our situation for an amicable solution," RRR makers tweeted as they clarified on reports about the ticket price hike.

Akshay Kumar starrer Sooryavanshi is going steady at the box office. On Wednesday, the film added Rs 9.55 crore to its total collection, which now stands at Rs 112.36 crore. Since there is no other major Bollywood release this weekend in the cinema halls, the Rohit Shetty directorial is expected to mint some more moolah on the upcoming weekend.`

Sharing the box office collection of the movie, film trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote on Twitter, "#Sooryavanshi packs a STRONG NUMBER on Day 6… Good word of mouth + lack of major #Hindi film this Fri gives it a chance to score in Week 2… Fri 26.29 cr, Sat 23.85 cr, Sun 26.94 cr, Mon 14.51 cr, Tue 11.22 cr, Wed 9.55 cr.
