Vijay starrer Beast releases in theatres on Wednesday. Written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Beast also stars Pooja Hegde in the lead role. The film’s trailer revealed that the action thriller is set inside a mall where terrorists have taken the customers as hostage. Unbeknownst to them, Vijay’s character Veera Raghavan is inside the mall and takes it upon himself to fight the terrorists. He is introduced as the “best and the most notorious spy” who is “meaner, leaner and stronger.”

In Vijay’s first televised interview in a decade with Sun TV, the actor was asked why he doesn’t give interviews. The Sarkar actor revealed that during his last interview, he was misinterpreted a bit, which discouraged him from giving further interviews.

Days before release, Shahid Kapoor's new film Jersey has been postponed yet again, this time by a week. Jersey was to open on April 14 but has been bumped to April 22 to avoid going head to head at the box office with KGF: Chapter 2, starring Yash. "As a team, we have put our blood sweat and tears into Jersey and would like our beloved film to reach all of you in the widest possible way. Jersey will now release on 22nd April," producer Aman Gill said in a statement, reports news agency PTI.

KGF: Chapter 2, the sequel to 2018 blockbuster KGF: Chapter 1, will have no competition in ticket sales. Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha was also meant to release on the same date but has been shifted to August because of delays in post-production. KGF: Chapter 2 also co-stars Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Prakash Raj and Srinidhi Shetty.

Will Smith was banned on Friday from attending the Oscars for the next 10 years, two weeks after the actor stunned the world by storming on stage mid-ceremony to slap the comedian Chris Rock.

Smith is also not permitted to attend any other events held by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences over the next decade.

The Board's decision as set out in a letter from Academy chiefs did not revoke the best actor award Smith won last month for "King Richard," nor did it mention any ban on future Oscar nominations.

Vivek Agnihotri has created a revolution at the box office with his latest film ‘The Kashmir Files’. The film managed to touch the hearts of millions as it told the lesser-known tale of exodus and genocide of Kashmiri Hindus back in 1990. Karan Johar, one of the biggest filmmakers in Hindi cinema, has finally talked about Vivek Agnihotri’s film. In an interview, he appreciated the box office collections of the film as he said, “The Kashmir Files is not made on the budget like a lot of other movies. But it is probably going to be cost-to-profit the biggest hit of Indian cinema. I read on Box Office India and they said that such a movement hasn’t happened since Jai Santoshi Maa, since 1975.”
