Raveena Tandon, who recently became a Padma Shri recipient, opened up about being approached for AR Rahman's song, 'Chaiyya Chaiyya' in the Shah Rukh Khan starrer 'Dil Se'. However, the actress chose not to take up the offer. It eventually went to Malaika Arora.

Talking about the same, Raveena told a news portal that she was offered the song shortly after her 'Rakshak' song ‘Sheher Ki Ladki’ became a hit. According to her, it was very easy to get stereotyped during those days. The actress added that not many people would know that she left a song like ‘Chaiyya Chaiyya’ because she had just done ‘Sheher Ki Ladki’. After that, she started getting offered only item songs, Raveena told Bollywood Bubble.

And finally, on April 10, Salman Khan has launched the action-packed trailer of Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. Within minutes of going live, the trailer has become the talk of the town as the bhai of masses and jaan of families is returning to the big screen with an action-packed family entertainer.

The trailer starts off by introducing the chemistry between Pooja Hegde and Salman Khan. 

Karnan featuring versatile actor Dhanush, which arrived before the second lockdown, is a super hit at the ticket windows. The movie, directed by Mari Selvaraj, had Rajisha Vijayan as the female lead. Mari Selvaraj, who made a staggering debut with Pariyerum Perumal, once again made his mark with Karnan.

Now the fresh update date is that Dhanush and Mari Selvaraj will collaborate again on a film. The announcement poster generates curiosity instantly. As Karnan completed two years by today, the team gave the announcement on the special occasion.

Srikant Roy (Prosenjit Chatterjee) and Sumitra Kumari (Aditi Rao Hydari) run the Roy Talkies studio, which resembles the actual Bombay Talkies in its success, influence and aspirations. Roy’s hunt for a new face to headline his productions ends with Jamshed Khan (Nandish Singh Sandhu). Jamshed is to be renamed Madan Kumar to ensure saleability – Srikant values profit above everything else, even Sumitra.

Raveena Tandon has been awarded the fourth highest civilian award, the Padma Shri, by President Draupadi Murmu at a ceremony at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi.

Expressing her gratitude at being chosen for the top honour, Raveena had said earlier, 'Honoured and grateful.
