Karan Johar returned to feature film direction after seven years with Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, and its encouraging box office performance completes his comeback. In four days of release, the Alia Bhatt-Ranveer Singh-led film crossed the Rs 50 cr mark. On its fifth day (Tuesday), the romantic comedy-drama showed no signs of slowing down at the ticket counters.
As per a Bollywood Hungama report, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani earned in the range of Rs 7.25 to 7.75 cr on Tuesday. With this, the film's total nett domestic collection comes to Rs 60.17 cr approximately. The film had an overall occupancy of 18.75% on its fifth day. Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh is confident that with no competition in sight, RRKPK can easily end its first week with a collection of Rs 70 cr.
