He added that the "divide-and-rule British game" ruined India's wealth, culture and self-esteem.

"India was much more prosperous before the entry of the British. They started to divide and rule. Many have given up their lives for the freedom struggle. Hence, I request you to look at the same,"said the BJP MP in his letter to CM Bommai.

The BJP MP said that it is our collective responsibility to commemorate freedom fighters.
