Retired judges as NyayMitras to resolve more than a decade old cases

He said, Government was committed to providing justice to poor people in fast, smooth and affordable manner. The Minister said that the responsibility of NyayMitraswill include offering assistance to litigants who are suffering due to delay in trial.
Prasad  appealed Para Legal Volunteers, PLVs, working at these centers to make themselves dependable for poor people. 
Addressing the function, Supreme Court judge and Chairman of National Legal Service Authority Justice Deepak Misra announced that number of Para Legal Volunteers will be increased from 500 to 15,000 in Uttar Pradesh. He called upon the PLVs to become friendlier to litigants and serve them.
