Virtual class; as the name suggest, gives a unique opportunity to the selected students to interact with well-known experts in the related areas of research and academic through video conferencing.

In its effort to maximize the teaching learning outcome, the college has started this initiative with a main purpose to provide a platform and opportunity to the students to have a wholesome learning experience which evidently opened the minds of the students to newer ways of thinking.

According to Dr. Kusha Tiwari, Convenor of the department, “The initiative was started with a belief that it would turn out to be a very enriching experience for the students as well as the faculty members.”

The lecture began by talking about the scope and opportunities for Indian investments in the US, where Prof. John observed that how the inflow of scholars and innovators from India has exponentially increased in the recent years in the US.

He also introduced the audience to the globally popularized new inclusive innovation called MLM India which focuses on working through the principle of - More from Less for More people.

After that he gave an overview of the main topic of discussion surrounding International Business and the scope of International Business Studies (IBS) in the academia. He then talked about the emergence and evolution of IBS and how it requires multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary approach so as to fully grasp the essence of this vast and ever growing area of study.

To sum up, the lecture was ended with fruitful and engaging two way interaction wherein the audience members gave their observations and asked relevant questions to Prof. John R. Mclintyre.

Having entered its 49th year, “The College now strives to be among the best institutions in the entire University of Delhi, and over the past several years, has been making steady progress in that direction,” says the Principal, Dr. Rabi Narayan Kar.

When asked about this whole concept of conducting Virtual lectures; he added, “We have started this initiative as many other reputed colleges like St. Stephen’sprovide virtual lecture facilities to their students. So, we also want to give our students best of everything. The whole initiative started 3 years back, fully organized by the synergy of the in-staff members that incurs zero-cost. It is considered to be very helpful innovation for the students and for the faculty members as well because somehow it is not possible to physically bring those eminent professors from countries like Finland, Australia, France and USA etc, to the campus. Therefore, we began this initiative of virtual lectures for the benefit and development of our students.”
