New Delhi:The Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) has detained a suspected ISI agent from Surat, who had connection with two ISI suspects recently arrested by Uttar Pradesh ATS from Mumbai. Sources said, phone call details of the detained suspect had indicated links with two hawala operators.
Gujarat ATS was verifying whether the Surat-based man was actually involved in espionage activities or just business dealings with the suspected ISI agents. Surat-based person had transferred money into bank accounts of the two arrested ISI suspects.

Two suspected ISI agents arrested from Mumbai are from Dhoraji in Gujarat and settled in South Mumbai. Both the ISI agents had alleged links with Aftab Ali who was arrested earlier by the UP ATS from Lucknow for allegedly carrying out espionage activities in Punjab and Lucknow cantonment area.
