Amidst fire from all sides, Pakistan get cover from China, which says Pak in frontline of fight against terror

New Delhi: Coming in strong defence of its ‘all-weather’ ally Pakistan, China has asserted that Islamabad was at the frontlines of the fight against terrorism.China`s contention has come when India and the US have asked Pakistan to stop cross-border terror.
"China thinks that the international cooperation against terrorism should be enhanced and stepped up. The international community should give full recognition and affirmation to Pakistan's efforts in this regard," Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lu Kang told reporters in Beijing.

Blaze in Pak consumes 150 from a crowd out to make hay from spilt petrol

New Delhi: About 150 people were charred to death and 117 others injured on Sunday in a huge blaze that erupted after an oil tanker overturned and crowds rushed to collect the fuel that spilled over on a highway in Pakistan's Punjab Province.

The oil tanker coming from Karachi and headed to Lahore overturned early this morning on the national highway at the AhmedpurSharqia area of the Bahawalpur district, some 400 km from Lahore, after a tyre burst.
