I Do Fail But Won't Give Up At Least Till 2019: Yuvraj

New Delhi: Yuvraj Singh has admitted that he has been "failing" but the out-of-favour Indian cricketer says he won't give up on his career at least till 2019.

The 36-year-old all-rounder, who played a pivotal role in India's 2011 World Cuptriumph, has been struggling to keep a place in the side for some time now.

"I would like to tell that I am failing. I still fail. I failed the last three fitness tests but yesterday I passed my fitness test. After 17 years I am still failing," Yuvraj said.


Deepika Bags Bronze For India In Indoor Archery World Cup

New Delhi: Deepika Kumari has bagged a bronze at the Indoor Archery World Cup Stage 2 that concluded in Bangkok.

Deepika, seeded third, defeated 13th seeded Sayana Tsyrempilova of Russia 7-3 in the women's recurve bronze play-off to bring some smile to the camp after the men's top seed Atanu Das crashed out in round two.

It was a disappointing end to their campaign, close on the heels of the overwhelming success at the Asian Championship in Dhaka, where they bagged a rich haul of nine medals -- three gold, foursilver and two bronze.


India, Australia Play Out 1-1 Draw In Hockey World League Final

New Delhi: India played out an intense 1-1 draw with defending champions Australia in their Odisha Hockey World League Final opener in Bhubaneswar. 

The Indians made a sparkling start with an early incursion into the Australian half in the pool B encounter, catching the opponent defence by surprise. SV Sunil moved briskly on the right flank and his shot after deflection from a defender found Gurjant Singh whose reverse hit was blocked by the Australian 'keeper Tyler Lovell. World no. 2 Australia responded with a counterattack but the resultant attempt at goal was weak.


Pakistan Cricket Board Demands $70m From BCCI For Unplayed Series

New Delhi: Pakistan has launched a legal battle against India for not honouring a bilateral cricket series agreement, according to the sport's governing body confirmed.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is seeking $70 million in compensation from the Board of Control for Cricket in India after the country failed to attend two series in 2014 and 2015 as part of a memorandum of understanding signed between the two boards.

The International Cricket Council confirmed receiving the notice.


Kohli Says Test Cricket Paramount For Game To Survive Globally

New Delhi: India captain ViratKohli has asserted that for the game cricket to sustain globally, Test cricket needs to be the premier format.

"I believe Test cricket is paramount for the game to sustain globally. I would urge youngsters to take up longer version of the game," Kohli said during the first ever Annual Conclave of Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA).
