Mayawati Says, Bad Days For The BJP Would Begin After May 23 When It Is Ousted From Power

New Delhi: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati said that bad days for the BJP would begin after May 23 when it will be ousted from power following announcement of election results. She has stepped up her attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“The huge support to Gathbandhan (SP-BSP-RLD alliance) has unnerved the BJP and it is deeply worried. Not only this, their dazed faces are telling that the BJP government, PM and his special disciple Amit Shah are going out after May 23. After this, we will prepare to send back Yogi to the mutt,” said the BSP chief. She was addressing a joint rally with SP chief Akhilesh Yadav at the packed Champa Devi Park of Gorakhpur. The two also addressed a rally in Ghazipur.

“The PM in his rallies is accusing us of seeking his caste certificate. I am not asking about it as everybody knows that he is a fake OBC. SP chief Akhilesh Yadav is the real OBC,” she said.

She blamed the wrong policies and wrong working style of the Congress for its ouster from the Centre and states it ruled and added that the current BJP government will meet the same fate for its wrong policies based on RSS ideology, capitalism, communalism and vandalism.

“Instead of fulfilling promises, they (BJP) invested their time and effort in ensuring that the wealth of their dearest capitalists and dhannaseths (billionaires) grew even more. Further, the note ban and GST destroyed the middle and small businessman. This time, new rhetoric and even fresh drama by the chowkidar is not going to work,” she said.

Mayawati said she had been getting very positive report about alliance performance till the sixth phase of election. She cautioned voters not to get trapped by alluring promises made by the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party and urged them to ensure that BJP didn’t return to power by voting unanimously in favour of the alliance.

“Unlike the Congress’s promise to provide Rs 6,000 monthly, the alliance will provide financial stability to youths by providing jobs to them,” she said adding that the benefit of reservations in jobs and promotion was not being extended to dalits and backwards in the BJP government, under whom atrocities had increased against these people.
