Noida inspects 20 projects of leading developers, puts several on notice

Noida: A committee of the Noida Industrial Development Authority (NOIDA) mandated to carry out inspection of the ongoing housing projects in the subcity, has submitted adverse findings about a large number of developers.  
Following the submission of findings several top projects have been issued notices. Some of the projects sent notice are Amrapali Zodiac, Amrapali Silicon City, Gardenia Granite, SkytechMatrott, SupertechCapetown, Sikka Group, Assotech group, Cloud 9, Antriksh Golf and others.

While inspecting different housing projects in several sectors, these committees found gross violation of project layouts sanctioned by the department of planning and architect, NOIDA. The other issues, the committees observed, was illegal construction of parking lots, not satisfying fire safety norms and water leakages in the basement etc. 
An official source with the authority, who is part of the committee, revealed that many developers have sold parking lots illegally to individual residents, which are originally an open area in the sanctioned project layout. He said, “There are developers who have obtained fire and environment clearances from respective departments, government of UP, but the system weren’t in order at respective housing projects.” 
According to the department of planning and architecture they have inspected around 20 housing projects till date. It has scheduled further inspections for the remaining projects.   
The notices sent to the developers directs them to take corrective steps to ensure that these projects were strictly followed the sanctioned layout plans. They have been told to submit an action taken reports in regards to violation in respective projects within a week.
The move for inspections and notices is an outcome of tripartite meeting held following an order by UP government to solve the issues of homes-buyers. The inspection committees comprises of officers, representatives of developers and buyers. Such projects have been inspected against whom complaints were received.
