Rohit Says A Cop Film Will Always Be Compared To Dabangg, Singham

New Delhi: Director RohitShetty said cop films such as "Dabangg" and "Singham" have set the bar so high with their box office success and popularity that it is obvious for any police-centric movie to be compared with them.

The filmmaker, whose next project "Simmba" will see Ranveer Singh don the khakhi uniform as Sangram Bhalerao, said he is confident the film will be original in its character.

"What usually happens is that Chulbul Pandey and Singham have become the iconic characters. When we were making 'Singham', a lot of people told us are 'you trying to make a 'Dabangg' kind of a film', but the film has its own identity”, he added.


AR Rahman Says He Feels Rajinikanth Means Only Good

New Delhi: Oscar-winning music composer AR Rahmanconsiders actor Rajinikanth means "only good" by advocating "spiritual politics".

Announcing his political debut on December 31, the Tamil superstar had promised his fans "spiritual politics, which is free from caste and creed".

On Tuesday, Thalaiva clarified that spiritual politics meant "honest and secular politics".

"He has spoken about spiritual politics of a secular character. I feel Rajinikanth meant only good," Rahman told reporters in Chennai.


Not A Huge Fan Of Superhero Films: Christian Bale

New Delhi: Actor Christian Bale, who played Batman in the famous Christopher Nolan series, has said that he not a fan of the superhero genre.

The 43-year-old actor starred as the iconic caped crusader in Nolan's "Batman Begins", "The Dark Knight" and "The Dark Knight Rises".

During an interview on MTV's 'Happy Sad Confused' podcast, Bale said he has not seen the performance of Ben Affleck as Batman but will certainly see it at some point.


Nolan Coming ToIndia By March: Amitabh Bachchan

New Delhi: Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has said that celebrated director Christopher Nolan will be visiting India by March this year.

The 75-year-old actor said the "Dunkirk" director, who has stayed true to the art of filmmaking by creating masterpieces such as "Inception" and "The Dark Knight" trilogy, on film, will be coming to the country to lend his support to Kodaks new facility here.

"It is all about to change yet again... Kodak that largest name for film is coming back... Many in the world of direction and production are finding values in the product done on film to be the more liked subject...”


Shah Rukh Khan Clocks 32 Million Followers On Twitter

New Delhi: Superstar Shah Rukh Khan has thanked his followers on Twitter after he crossed the 32 million mark on the micro-blogging site.

Shah Rukh is the third most followed Indian on Twitter and is behind only Prime Minister NarendraModi, who has close to 39 million followers, and megastar Amitabh Bachchan (32.5 million followers).

The "Jab Harry Met Sejal" actor expressed gratitude to his fans for following him on Twitter with a photo of his new dwarf avatar from his movie "Zero".
