Toilet: Ek Prem Katha To Be Screened In 11,500 Screens Across China

New Delhi: The Akshay Kumar-Bhumi Pednekar starrer Toilet: Ek Prem Katha is being screened in 11,500 screens across China with approximately 56,000 shows every day. Film critic Taran Adarsh informed this development about the film which was a low budget big success in India.

Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, which opened in the China box office on Friday, is a ‘much larger’ release than previous releases from the Bollowood bouquet like Hindi Medium and Bajrangi Bhaijaan.  “#Xclusiv: 11,500 screens... 56,000 shows every day [may go up to 58,000 shows]... #ToiletEkPremKatha opens in China today [8 June 2018]... Thane Police Summons Arbaaz Khan For Questioning In Regards To Betting Probe

New Delhi: Bollywood star Arbaaz Khan has reportedly been summoned by the Thane police for questioning in regards to a betting probe into the Indian Premier League (IPL). Hindi film actor, director and producerhas allegedly been accused of betting.

His name cropped up during the investigation of high profile bookie SonuJalan. Arbaaz has been asked to record his statement by the anti-extortion cell of Thane crime branch.Arbaaz was summoned for alleged placements of money on matches during the 11th season of the IPL through bookies, it was reported. Arbaaz, 50, is the brother of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan.

Pradeep Sharma, the senior inspector of anti extortion cell, said that they have summoned the actor-producer to ascertain "his role in the betting racket and which shall be confirmed once his statement is recorded."

New Delhi: Film director Vikramaditya Motwane has said that the country’s socio-political situation in the early 2010s inspired him to write the film called Bhavesh Joshi Superhero which will see the emergence of a new kind of Bollywood superhero -- who is essentially human yet mature than what people have seen before.

Vikramaditya Motwane says, “Sometimes just living at a particular place makes you angry. A lot of it came from 2010-11 when many scams were unearthed. You had a government that was accused of big scams like the Commonwealth Games scam. I was generally very upset about the situation.”
