Raazi' Rakes In The Moolah At The Box Office This Weekend

New Delhi: Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal starrer Raazi' is raking in the moolah at the box office this weekend. The film that was off to a strong start on Friday with a collection of Rs 7.53 crore, has seen a big boost of 50% in its Saturday’s collection recording a total of Rs 11 .30 crore. The film’s two-day total now stands at an impressive Rs 18.83 crore.

The espionage thriller directed by MeghnaGulzarand produced by Junglee Pictures and Dharma Productions, has already checked itself into the record books as the fifth highest opening for a Hindi film in 2018.

With high critic ratings coupled with an intriguing story, good word of mouth feedback, the film’s collections are expected to grow even more in the days ahead. Set against the backdrop of the Indo-Pak war in 1971, Alia plays the role of an Indian girl who marries a Pakistani Army officer (Vicky) to spy for her country.


Parmanu To Be Released Across 300 Screens In Pakistan

New Delhi: John Abrahan starrer Parmanu - The Story Of Pokhran, a Bollywood movie on India’s nuclear test in 1998, will release across 300 screens in Pakistan. Director of the film Abhishek Sharma informed about its Pakistan sojourn.

Asked if the movie will release in Pakistan, Sharma told the media, “We will be releasing in 300 screens in Pakistan and I think that says it all.”

Actor-producer John Abraham, who was also present during the interaction with mediapersons, insisted that “it is not an anti-Pakistan film in any way”. John said, “Yes, we are (releasing the movie in Pakistan). This is not an anti-Pakistan film, it is a pro-India film. So, from the beginning we were very clear that it is a film about India and we want to celebrate the story. If we start thinking about other markets, then we will be compromising on our film. Our intention was to tell the story and we do not want to deviate from that.”

Tareefan Was Composed On A Flight On An iPad, Says Qaran

New Delhi:Composer Qaran revealed that Tareefan, the song that has been sung by rapper Badshah featuring actresses KareenaKapoor, SonamKapoor, SwaraBhasker and ShikhaTalsania lip-synching to his voice in its video, was composed on a flight on an iPad.

“It was a great feeling to be able to introduce my sound and brand of music with Tareefan. The song was composed on a flight from Mumbai to Delhi on my iPad,” QARAN, a music composer, music producer, lyricist and rapper, said in a statement.

He has been DJing across the UK and Singapore for a large part of his teenage years. He is also known for music placements in shows like America’s Next Top Model and his work in the Hindi film industry.


After Long Legal Tangle, Kedarnath Set For A November 30 Release

New Delhi:Sushant Singh Rajput and debutante Sara Ali Khan-starrer Kedarnath has been locked for release on November 30. The release of the film was stuck in a legal but now all those issues are solved. The film’s director AbhishekKapoor on Tuesday morning tweeted: “We clean up pretty nice. November 30 it is. Save the date everyone. Jai Bholenath.”

Kapoor also shared the film’s poster showing Lord Shiva, and a silhouette of Sushant kissing Sara on the forehead in the background. Earlier, Kapoor’s Guy In The Sky Pictures (GITS) was making the movie with KriArj Entertainment, but they parted ways. Then, Ronnie Screwvala and his creative production house RSVP joined hands with Kapoor. This is their second collaboration after Kai Po Che.
